Abbiamo pensato di riunire alcune mamme e i loro figli e di ospitarle in una casa che affittiamo nel sud del Kerala, in India. Queste mamme, abbandonate dai loro mariti, e questi bambini, abbandonati dai loro padri, vivono naturalmente delle gravi difficoltà. Con un piccolo contributo mensile noi ci faremo carico di tutte le loro spese: scolastiche, sanitarie, alimentari, ecc. Con l'aiuto della Onlus Namastè, che ci sostiene e ci consente di organizzare autonomamente questa iniziativa, cercheremo inoltre di offrire alle mamme migliori opportunità di lavoro.

Noi siamo solo un piccolo gruppo, ma accogliamo volentieri proposte di partecipazione al progetto.

Une action solidaire au Kerala, en Inde
“La casa delle mamme” (la Maison des Mamans) est un projet de soutien à distance à des mères isolées et à leurs enfants

Nous avons pensé réunir quelques mamans et leurs enfants et les héberger dans une maison que nous louons, au sud du Kerala, en Inde. Ces mères, abandonnées par leurs maris et ces enfants abandonnés par leurs pères ont connu de très grandes difficultés. Grâce à une petite contribution mensuelle nous prenons en charge tous les frais scolaires, sanitaires, alimentaires, etc. Avec l’aide de l' Onlus Namastè, qui nous permet d’organiser cette initiative de manière autonome, nous nous efforcerons de donner à ces femmes de meilleures opportunités professionnelles.

Nous sommes un petit groupe mais nous accueillons avec plaisir toutes les propositions de participation au projet.

A solidarity project in Kerala, India
'La casa delle mamme' (the Mother's Home) is a development project aimed at helping lonely and abandoned Indian mothers, left alone with their children. Economical support of the project is gained through their sponsorship.

Being homeless and therefore in trouble, we offered them to live in a rented house, where they could live together with their children. Most of the mothers were cruelly abandoned by their husbands, leaving them completely alone and in hardship with their children (mainly females, which is often the reason why husbands left them...for the dowry problem they would have met in the future). Through sponsorship fees we manage to sustain the project costs: house rent, educational expenses (school and tuition fees, uniforms and stationery) and, when needed, medical expenses, as well. Supported by a non-profit Italian Association, Namaste Onore a Te, we are allowed to manage all aspects of the project independently, helped by the local staff when we are not in India. The project is also aimed at providing mothers with better job opportunities, in order to empower them and make them economically and socially selfstanding.

The group supporting and financing the project consists of few people, but we are ready to welcome others wishing to join us in this project, that gives hope to lonely mothers.
